Msi 7870 Driver issue

I've got an Msi Twin frozr 2 7870 and i recently updated the driver to 12.10 and the fans speed are running high when I'm watching movies and clips on youtube even when I'm away and nothings running which is unusual right ? I also have 3 fans installed on the case so I doubt there is a cooling problem . So i was wondering if its the driver issue or its the graphic card itself . I did not have any of these problems until updated the driver so . Thanks !

ps : when I'm away from pc for a few secs the fans run high and activity goes to almost 100% and whenever i move the mouse it goes back to normal which is soooo weird !! and I also installed the previous version of catalyst but still same thing .

If you navigate to the overdrive tab in Catalyst, can you verify that the manual fan control box is not checked?

If you switch it to manual then, do you gain control over it and it is the speed changeable?
You best bet may be to download the latest Catalyst version (12.10 still as of right now I believe), do a current driver removal and clean sweep, and reinstall.
