Hi, I have a GeForce GTX 680 graphics card and want an incredible monitor to go with it. I'd like a 27" 2560x1440 IPS monitor, I was thinking something in the $500 range?

What do you guys think about this:

I got a Korean one from eBay and works great. Awesome color and good resolution. I say why not?

You should look into the crossover 27 q or yamakasi catleap on ebay... You can get one for close to 360$ . Same LG panel that Apple and Dell use.

anandtech has a very thorough review of this monitor. Is a good option if you don't want to mess with Ebay and having to ship the monitor to Korea for warranty service, although there's also some very good info out there on the catleaps and which sellers to use.
