I will be using this computer for school work, internet surfing, streaming movies/documentaries online, playing pc games like starcraft 2, WoW, DOTA 2...and grinding poker on dual monitors. I plan on keeping my aztec 300 case and power supply (I have to check what kind I have, haven't looked yet and forgot) I hope to get a copy of windows for free since I'm a student, and I have speakers, keyboard, and mouse.

Which should I go with, will they both fit in the antec 300 case? And are they compatible with all the components together?

Thanks, it's been several years since I made built a computer, kinda rusty...lol

With intel's performance lead right now the second build is the better one IMHO. The only question is your upgrade path, you have quite a few great options to upgrade to in the future with the 1155 socket, however the 1155 socket is also about to die. With the AM3+ socket it is unclear (as far as I have heard) whether the AM3+ socket will stick around for another generation.

Then again I am getting the feeling that you may not be upgrading this any time soon, so this may be a moot point.

Sorry about that, here ya go:

Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: This week!

Budget Range: $300 - 500 after it's all said n done.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Poker grinding 8 tables dual monitors (I'll get the extra monitor later). Gaming (starcraft 2, DOTA 2, WoW, Diablo 3 etc) Movie/documentaries watching online, internet surfing, school work.

Are you buying a monitor: Yes - at a later date though.

Parts to Upgrade: CPU, MOBO, RAM, HD, DVD ROM, GRAPHIC CARD,

Do you need to buy OS: Yes - own vista, plan on upgrading to WIN 7

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg

Location: Oceanside, CA

Parts Preferences: by brand or type I'm more of an AMD person, but don't mind Intel if it's good as well.

Overclocking: Yes but simple, not too knowledgeable about OC myself.

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: 1600x1200 -1920x1200 I guess.

Additional Comments: Will be using Poker Tracker, which is a database that records hands while you grind in poker, your run of the mill software (office, etc)

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: It's TIME! My old rig is made of very old parts (2004+) But mostly for poker, gaming and watching movies online.

Ok, I did another build, this time I want to know if the on board graphics is good enough to play the games I mentioned and thus I wouldn't need to buy another graphic card to slim down the price, but I added a new case and will keep my current PS:

Seeing as you're on a tight budget i like the G860 build the most.

You will be able to play your games you will just have to reduce the eye candy quite a bit and maybe the resolution you play at.

The G860 build is your best gaming build, you will have no trouble gaming at 1920x1080.

What about the last build I posted it's the cheapest, and I don't really need to play my games at max settings, I'm not that hardcore of a gamer. I play just to when I'm bored.

That is somewhat good too, but you need another motherboard for A8, with FM2 socket.
