Connecting your GPU to the PSU directly a requirement? Tags: Radeon GPUs PCI Express Graphics Product Last response: November 10, 2012 3:33 PM in Graphics & Displays Share carc November 10, 2012 3:07:43 PM Hello, I recently bought a Radeon 7850 and realized I will need to buy a PCI express power cord for it since I lost my original one (didn't previously need it). I have two questions: Can I still use this card without that connection or is that dangerous for my computer/GPU? Also, I was looking at buying this PSU cord: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=12-198-... Is it OK that it's 1 cord that splits into two, or do I need to get one that's just 1 to 1? That cord should be fine. carc November 10, 2012 3:33:21 PM Thank you very much Can't find your answer ? Ask !
