Radeon hd 7770 good for gaming at this resolution

i am building a rig and so far i plan on getting
intel core i5 2500k
8gbs of ram
SeaSonic G Series 550 watt 80 plus Gold PSU
Sapphire Vapor X radeon hd 7770 GHz edition
Western digital Cavier black 500gb

I plan to play games on 1600X1050 as of right now i dont have money to upgrade a monitor or a video card so at this resolution will the radeon hd 7770 play most games at medium to high settings?

  1. Yes it should be good for that resolution.

According to Tom's graphics cards hierarchy chart your 7770 is just as good as my GTX-460 and I'm able to run any games with medium to high settings (high most of the time) and I use a higher resolution 1920 x 1200.
  2. The HD 7770 will be fine for that resolution. See following for HD 7770 benchmarks. Note that the test rig uses an i7-3770k @ 4.7GHz.

  3. YUP.

You're in luck, ncix is having a sale on a 7770 asus v2 dcu for 100$, free shipping (It also has a 10$ MIR.).
