NO display but system is still processing

2 days ago while i was browsing the internet i got a power outage (ps i have no UPS)
after the lights come out i tried to turn my computer on with a little bit of difficulty
then this morning i was going to boot my computer, but after the windows logo the screen just gone blank, but my system is still operating (fanspeed, the win login music, the notification bubble) etc is heard.
but when i remove my VGA and connect directly to my motherboard it runs just fine.
tried to clear CMOS an check for bad setors as some advised but still no.
Help please?
