    it said it supports it.
    Related resources
    December 27, 2012 10:08:41 PM

    It does: AM3+ FX FD6300WMW6KHK 95W Piledriver 3500MHz 2000MHz 2MBx3 8MB C0 P1.60

Notice the P1.60. It's the required BIOS version (released in May 2012). If the board was manufactured after May 2012, it will support the CPU. If not, a BIOS update is needed.
    December 27, 2012 10:09:40 PM

    are bios updates easy?
    December 27, 2012 10:12:46 PM

You would need a supported CPU or buying a BIOS chip and replacing the board's one (it's on socket).
But since we are in December now, my guess is that you will not get a such old board.
    December 27, 2012 10:20:00 PM

okay thanks, do you know any supported boards? Thanks
    December 27, 2012 10:24:33 PM

And were's the gpu ? do you have one ? cause that cpu doesn't have a on die gpu(integrated graphics)
    December 27, 2012 10:25:38 PM

i'm hoping the motherboard has on board gpu
    December 27, 2012 10:28:12 PM

Maybe the 970 Extreme3 R2.0 These boards have no integrated graphics.
    December 27, 2012 10:37:52 PM

Sorry pal, you have to ditch that cpu, either get a pentiumG8xxx or i3+mobo or an amd apu.
    December 27, 2012 10:37:57 PM

do you know any motherboards which support the new amd 6300 without any bios updates?

Just get the i5...it's way better than the fx-6300 and you don't need to look out for any mobo with bios update.

It's 2 pounds more, also the i5 prices on that shop are overpriced.
