I recently built my gaming PC and installed all the latest drivers for everything, And I started to play games on it, but as soon as I entered gameplay (cutscenes and everything else work fine) the game freezes and the audio begins to loop, and I'm forced to do a hard shutdown. This happens for nearly ANY game (Online flash games work fine), and it's really annoying, considering I spent over $1,000 on the parts. I know for a fact that it's not dust (I just built the computer yesterday) and it's not heat related, because my case has great airflow, and the fans for the graphics card, CPU, and case are working fine. My specs are:
ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 motherboard
AMD FX 6100 6-core processor
Diamond Radeon 7770 graphics card
Kingston 16gb HyperX ram (Two 8gb sticks)
ASUS xonar DG sound card
TP-LINK 450mbps wireless dual-band PCI express adapter
Seagate barracuda 500gb HDD
OCZ 60gb SSD
Kinwin 550w PSU
Windows 7 home premium 64-bit
Someone please help, I'm on the verge of putting a sledgehammer through my computer.
