I previosly had a Sapphire AMD HD 7770 and wanted to upgrade and hence bought another Asus AMD HD 7770 double fan card, I crossfired it successfully, CCC was detecting the crossfireX setup and to be sure I used GPU-Z to check an d it showed that I had 2 GPU's so the problem came while gaming there was no increase in fps rather a lil drop down not too much, around 10-20,then I noticed something in GPU-Z that got me puzzled, ill post the details of both card separately that showed in GPU-Z:-
Asus card: Sapphire card
Shader: 640(Unified) Shader:640(unified)
Pixel FillRate: 16.3 GPixel/sec Pixel FillRate: 16.0 GPixel/sec
Texture FillRate: 40.8GTexel/sec Texture FillRate: 40.0GTexel/sec
Memory: GDDR5 Memory: GDDR5
Memory size: 2048 Memory size: 1024
Bus Width: 128 bit Bus Width: 32 bit
Bandwidth: 73.6 Gb/sec Bandwidth: 18.0 Gb/sec
GPU Clock: 1020Mhz,1150(Memory) GPU Clock: 1000Mhz,1125(Memory)

Driver Version: atiumdag Driver Version: atiumdag
(Catalyst 12.10)/Windows 7 64 /Windows 7 64

ATI Crossfire: Enabled(2 GPU's)
Computing: tick on OpenCL and DirectCompute 5.0
I know the 2gb memory will go down to 1 but what about the bandwidth and Bus width those 2 should be same?
My mobo is Asus Maximus V gene, and works on x8 for crossfire and 16x for one card, I have a 700 watt PSU and intel core if 2500k hence I dont think my CPU is bottlenecked so what could be the issue?
Please help.

and yeah secondly my single Hd 7770 gives me 300-250 fps in COD MW2 at 1366X768 at medium graphic detail but it only gives me maximum of 45-50 fps in MW3 where as I have heard both the games are built on the same engine then why this issue?

update your drivers, see if the issue is in more than one game/program

I have a pair of 5830's and had the same problem: single card OK, x-fire nothing worked. I found the following steam forum, worked for me.

Follow the instructions from "Evil-Furby". It's basically a CCC setting, also make sure your drivers are up to date.
