$500-$600 gaming computer

Hello everyone, I've been trying to find parts to be able to build my own computer in a $500-$600 (This includes the monitor and keyboard). The thing is I really have no clue what are the best parts to buy. I want to be able to play Guild Wars 2 on medium-high settings on a steady fps. Low would even be ok at 60 fps. I prefer to use Newegg.com too. If you guys could recommend me parts etc. I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks guys! :D

  1. I recommend you search craigslist or anandtech for a good used gaming system with phenom II or 2500k cpu; don't be shy; make an offer. You may have to buy the monitor and operating system separately.

I'm really liking this build posted by Jay2tall. The total is $723 or $663 (with Rebate cards). My main question is what is the difference between this build and your build that you posted? Also, if possible I would love to slim down the price some of this build.
  4. I actually found a build that would actually be better for me.
    CPU: i5 2550k
    GPU: RadeonHD 7850 2GB 256-bit
    PSU: 430W Corsair CX430 Power
    RAM: PNY 8GB 2X4
    MOTHEBOARD: ASRock H77M LGA 1155
CASE:NZXT Source 210 S210-001 Black ATX Mid Tower
HDD: 500GB Western Digital Caviar Blue Hard Drive
    Optical:Sony DVD Drive
    Would all of this work?
Also, this is a pretty nooby question, but do I need any fans for anything? I'm also thinking of overclocking so any suggestions for that would be helpful.

This is about the least expensive z77 board out there. I've gotten my msi rebates (unlike biostar, where you have to practically beg them). You'll need a z77 board to overclock. Unless you're saving some significant $$, I would get the regular 2500k with onboard video; it will be easier to sell later on. You'll sometimes find them brand new on craigslist; there was a 3570K listed there new a few days ago for $190.
