It really depends on the game, resolution, and game settings. Overall it is a good increase but the question is how big.

There is a major increase in performance in theory. Like ss202sl says, it depends on the game, settings, etc. Do expect more heat and more power consumption. Make sure you have a decent PSU.

At least 700w for gtx 670's in SLI I think. Maybe a bit more if you are going to overclock and just so your not stressing it too much.

Id go for 800W or more for 670 SLI myself, basicly to have PSu not run at full, and to have even then some room for expanding.

And definitly a good brand (XFX, enermax, thermaltake, Corsair, seasonic...).

If you're going to overclock go with the corsair 850w.

Yes, definitely go with a PSU that allows you to expand. You never know when you feel like adding more to your PC and when you'll need that extra juice. Always plan ahead, though!
