Post with integrated graphics?

So I'm building my first rig and I have everything but the video card atm. I have the i5 3570k so if I was to put everything together will it post without the video card?

Yes, it will. Just hook up monitor to mainboard hdmi or dvi and turn on the pc.

Alright sweet, but one more quick question when I get my video card will I be able to simply plug it in or will I need to adjust something before

You just plug it in. Default primary graphics adapter is pci-e card, if it is not found then pci and onboard are used. There is an option in BIOS to select primary graphics adapter, but you don't need to touch it.
