What to upgrade

I am having difficulties deciding what to upgrade on my system.

Currently I have

AMD Athlon X2 regor
350gb 7200rpm hd
500gb 7200rpm hd
GTX560ti 1 gb
Thermaltake 850wat PSU
ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Team Xtreem Dark Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model

Should I get a new AM3+ processor, a 7950 card, ssd or just scrap it and save for a intel system.

processor. i wouldnt be surprised if you were already bottlenecked by the processor. throwing more gpu horsepower at it will accomplish nothing.

Since you already have an AM3+ mobo you should get a Piledriver CPU.

First thing you need to do is grab a CPU. If your board supports it, grab an fx 8320 or 8350. Myself I have the 8120 I upgraded to that from an Athlon quad core and honestly that was even a good jump. But previously I'd had an Athlon dual core and my old Athlon dual core bottlenecked a gts 450. So you've really probably been soldiering along. Grab an fx 8 core and be happy. I mean you can go intel but you've got pretty much the rest of the system. Get an 8320 and an aftermarket cooler like a hyper 212. My 8120 idles at near 30 degrees celcius, but I'm using a v6 gt cooler with a push pull config.

Don't scrap everything, just grab a new CPU and board, wipe your hdd's and reinstall windows. An i5 3750k and brand new motherboard will run you around $350-400.

Or just pick up an fx 8320 and be in i5 territory for under 200 then sell your old chip on eBay and you are probably out for under 200

Allright well I think I will be picking up a 8320 then. I can get it for 160 and free shipping. Thanks for the help guys.
