Would any MicroATX motherboard fit in any MicroATX cases?

I am currently in a possession of a Acer Aspire AX1700-U3700A.

I was also thinking of upgrading it as well. After researching the available MicroATX motherboards and comparing the pictures with the current Motherboard, I realized that many may not fit at all due to the vertical ODD/HDD getting in the way of many of the sockets.

So I was wondering, am I just paranoid or are all MicroATX designed to fit all MicroATX motherboards?
If not, I would appreciate any recommendations of new motherboards available in the U.S., mainly aimed towards gaming.
My price range would be anything under 150$.

it should fit fine as long as acer didnt screw you over and made a custom board that is not standard matx sized and standard matx mounting holes
