Suggestions on components for gaming PC

Hello, I'm getting ready to build my first PC that will be used for everyday tasks about 70% and racing gaming (F1 2012 Forza etc.)30%. If anyone has suggestions or opinions on my choices for components, I would appreciate them. I'm new to gaming so I'm a little green. Is this overkill? Could I save some money with less capacity and get good performance?
Case - Coolmaster HAF 912
CPU - Intel i5 or i7
Hard Drive - Western Black Caviar 1TB
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H
RAM - Crucial Ballistx 8GB
Power Supply - Corsair TX 650 Enthusiast
Graphics Card - EVGA GeForce GTX 660 2GB

Get the i5(i5-3570k), you can downgrade the psu for 500-550w like a xfx,antec,etc, if you want, the rest is all good, the 660 gtx will give ~60 fps in f1 2012 maxout @ 1080p.

Hello, Thank you for the information. Because I'm still trying to educate myself on all the specs, do you think the 660 GTX will be sufficient now and in the future. Thank you again for your help!
