upgrading nvidia GT530, 300$ budget suggestions Please

Hi guys,

So, I'm trying to make a transition to pc gaming, I have recently ran into some performance issues with my current graphic card and now require an upgrade. I am wondering if people can suggest mid to low priced cards that are capable of playing up coming titles such as, Hitman absolution, gta 5v, black ops 2 etc. no more then 300$ but if possible much lower maybe (100$-200$)..

here are my System specs:
Intel i5 2320 3.0ghz, 64 bit, 1 Tb hd, p8B75-m/csm motherboard, 4 Gb ram, 750w psu, asus Ve28q Full HD 1080p (1920x1080) display.

Any suggestions would be great, driving myself crazy over here trying to pick one out of the very many...

Thanks in advance for any help

  1. Do you not have a graphics card at all right now?

I'd go with a 7870, at the top end. Look for one that isn't a reference design. (Has fans blowing out the top, instead of out the back of the case.)
  2. you can pick up a 7850 for around 170. that should handle most games well enough for the near future
  3. What brand/model is your psu?

If your budget is 300 you may want to look at the 7950's if your case can fit them may want to post what case you are using as well.

One more thing you may want to move from 4 to 8 gigabytes of ram. I know you can get away with 4 but I feel your experience would be better with 8.
