need help dvd player acting up

Hi everybody I just recently built a P3 667mhz for myself and I'm using a dvd player I don't even know what brand it is. I use Interactual player with it and when its playing it will freeze for up to a minute and then continue and it will do this all through the movie. I made sure that I had DMA turned on and turned off all screen savers and stuff,but it still does it. CAN ANYONE HELP!!!!!!

Firstly, is the DVD player DMA capable? It probably is, but I'd uncheck that bit to see if that sorts things first.

Nope. ok. What's your IDE configuration? HDD primary master. etc. etc.
