Currently in my Newegg cart I have a 550 ti 2GB, but I'm not sure if that's what I definitely want to order, so I'm going to ask your guys' opinions. What other card do you recommend in this price range? (Can go a little higher) Some others on my mind are a 560 ti 1GB, and a 650 ti 1GB.

Thanks!

A 560 Ti is better than the 550 Ti, and the 650 Ti is way better then the 550 Ti as well. 550 Ti is not worth it. 560 or the 650 would be way better.

What games will you be playing ?

I'm hoping to play games like Minecraft (max settings), Assassins Creed, many first person shooters (ARMA, Battlefield, etc.), Grand Theft Auto, and a handful of other games.

Ok, well arma, battlefield, gta are all really GPU intensive, and depending on what CPU and resolution you play at will depend on how good youll be able to run the game. All three of those cards will run the games at lower settings, at maybe a 1080p resolution. But if you list your actual budget, well be able to help you pick a better card for the money.

My budget is around $180, possibly a little more. And not too sure on the resolution, haven't picked out a graphics card yet.

For 180 you can get a 10x better card then the ones you picked out, the resolution depends on you monitor. Or are you buying another monitor as well ?

Yeah, I'd say look for a good deal on a 7850. That's about the best you can get for ~$180 right now. With all the holiday sales coming up soon, you may even be able to snag a 7870 for that price.
