Hi everyone! i want to ask-
1) will a MSI H61M-P20 (G3) Motherboard support a hd 6870?
2) and is there a significant difference between a the hd 6870 and a hd 7850?? In india the price difference is around 35$ so is the extra cost worth it?

I will be gaming at 1366*768 resolution(metro2033,crysis 2,sleeping dogs,AC3, just cause 2 etc), and would like to max out with full AA and AF.Thank you

1 Yes!
2 at your resolution HD6870 is an overkill so the hd7850 would be more so but if you are planning an upgrade to a 1080P monitor the extra for the HD7850 would be worth it. If not no.

i would choose 7850 because

in average 7850 a little more powerful than 6870

7850 consume less power than 6870, means less heat, less power bill

7850 is new, for me i would stick to new stuffs

I think hd 7850 is also a killer overclocker. So, you can't go wrong going with it

I know that the HD 6870 is overkill for my res but i want average 60fps maxed out, and i suppose nothing below an HD 6870 will give me that...

If you can afford the HD7850 then go for it. The best visual upgrade I have ever done was going 1280 x 1024 to a widescreen 1680 x 1050 years ago. With the HD7850 you will be set for that type of upgrade to 1080P.

Now, for some reason i ended up ordering a Asus gtx560ti directCUII, I have a question-
1) How does it compare to a hd7850?
2) will i be able to max out the demanding games at 1366*768 res??

At every game more than 60.

Example MW3 254fps
NFS MW 2012 120+
Prototype 2 70+ but droping to 35 sometime for a moment (Game bug)
Bf3 35+ Always usually is 50
Other game's no limits :)

You just bought a 560Ti that is of Rs17000 !!!You just got robbed !!!
You would have bought Gigabyte GTX 660 for 15000 and MSI GTX 660 for 16000.
If you would have added a 1000 more than you can get Asus GTX 660 Direct CUII.
I too live in India.

Check it yourself:

That doesn't change the fact that there is a big difference between the two cards though does it?

Forget the charts, I own two of each of them which is why I know that there is quite a big difference in the performance of both of them.

Flipkart can ship everywhere in India, but it may take time. Where you live?

It maybe just one place above but they have a very big difference in everything. GTX660 takes less power and is more powerful + cheaper than your GTX 560 Direct CUII. GTX 660 is enough to play most games on 1080p Ultra for next 2 years.

And please believe all this online shopping, I do believe now because I've ordered many things from their

I returned that overpriced crap, and bougth a galaxy gtx560 for rs 6000 less(same price as an hd7770), anyway i realised that a gtx 560ti,gtx 660, hd 7850 are too much of an overkill for my resolution... Now i want to know, how does it fare against the HD 6870???
