A year and a half old HP Pavilion DV6, came from HP Service after a mother board fault. Later, I am having serious issues with graphics.
1. Unable to switch between ATI Radeon and Intel Graphics or vice versa, the system freezes and i have to force reset by holding power button for 3 secs.
2. Tried Fixed/Dynamic graphic options at BIOS, and got the below problems.
a. When ATI Radeon is used when laptop is plugged and when suddenly unlplugged, it crashes.
b. When lap is started with fixed mode (ATI as default) it starts perfect when plugged but when unplugged, crashes during the welcome screen of OS boot (when OS tries to switch from ATI to Intel)
c. I cant switch between plugging/unplugging as it crashes evertime (It doens't opt for changing graphics when Dynamic is selected)
d. Point C happens when Fixed is selected.
Overall, the lap is usable only when it is plugged and Fixed is selected and when Dynamic is selected i cant plug/unplug in between. Any one please find a fix for this, i have just spent $200 fixing my Mobo.
