Has anyone been on the "scene" long enough to track whether or not
people like Thom Hogan or Ken Rockwell really have a good handle on
Nikon's plans for unannounced products? For example, see:

From some of the thing's I've seen out of Nikon, I not sure they even
have a good handle on things themselves which is why when I went to
all digital I went with Canon.

Thom Hogan is a published author and reknown expert on most things Nikon.
Ken Rockwell is an acknowledged crackpot and possible user of illegal
substances given some of his opinions.
