What is the best bang for the buck gfx card right now?
For a $1000 build.
also whats the point of having a SSD and a HDD ?

An SSD is usually used for the operating system and the applications. They are much faster than a hard disk. They are also more expensive, which is why people use a hard disk for storage. The best value in gpus right now is the HD7850 2GB. Its affordable and fast enough to play most games at decent settings. If you need more power than it has, go with the 7870 as its also a good value.

At that budget you should go with HD 7950 or GTX 670.
