I have had an issue using the Windows 7 home group and WMC. I can store my media on one PC and from the other PC play music just fine. However I can't play and Video files. Now I can take that same file transfer it to the HTPC and it will play. The issue is that videos will not play over the network. They did at one point but it just stopped working.

I have done some troubleshooting and check this out... I was using 64bit RC on the HTPC so I re imaged the HTPC with 32bit and the problem remains.... Can listen to the music but cant watch the videos... so it must be a setting on my Main PC which is running Win 7 RC 7100 64 bit.............

Any suggest ?

How did you configure your network to stream content from your HTPC to the other PC?

MAke sure you have the right codecs installed. WMC needs extra codecs to play popular video files.
