Hello,
My Toyota Yaris (2006 - automatic) has developed a problem - it suddenly stops! It usually occurs when I'm parked/stopped and go to apply the accelerator. The gears stay in 'N' and nothing works, apart from the dashboard lighting up. It seems to come back to normal after switching everything off for a while. Has anyone else had such a problem, and if so, plrase could you advise what it could be and how I can solve it?
Many thanks
Wanda

I heard the electronic throttle is connected to a lot of things. What would be advisable would be to get to a good garage / autozone and let them code read the car if you have lights in the dash. If you've never done a throttle service, 3m has one of the best throttle service /mpg treatment kits out there.
If not...get your car battery and alternator looked at to make sure that it is running okay. A dying battery drains an alternator more than usual, and a damaged alternator causes ghosts to happen everywhere.
