Computer screen blinking on and off

I just built my computer today. Finished it a couple hours ago. I installed Windows 8 on it. Updated my video card drivers. Then it said my computer had and error and needed to restart. So i let it restart. Now every time i turn the computer on the screen just keeps flashing on and off.

AMD FX-8320 8-Core Processor
Galaxy GTS 250
Asus M5A97 LE R2.0

try going into Safe mode by Pressing Shift and the F8 key as it is booting up.

You may need to uninstall the driver that you installed once inside Safe Mode.
