Which card to replace NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT?

I am looking to replace my NVIDIA GeForce 8500 GT with a new video card for basic / medium gaming.

I have a 300W PSU and a Core 2 Quad Q6600 processor. My specs are here:

I need some help with deciding which video card I should go with.

I have read some good reviews on Tom's site about the HD Radeon 6670

But I am also considering the Radeon HD 7750

Is my processor fast enough to support the 7750? I can probably overclock to 3Ghz. I likely won't add any new fans/cooling.

I am willing to install a new PSU if needed.

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to video cards so I'd really appreciate people's input

Yes it will support a 7750 and that was what I was going to recommend.

Thanks for the quick reply. Will I have to overclock to keep up with the 7750? Will my system still be stable at 3Ghz?

+1 7750 draw max 50 W so u will be ok

Does it matter what brand that I buy? I will be buying from Amazon and can see a Sapphire for $99 vs a Gigabyte for $109

just curious, why XFX over the others?

Also, XFX and Sapphire are 800Mhz but Gigabyte is 880Mhz. Given my small PSU, would the 880Mhz use much less power?

U can oc the other card's to that .

But as i said that 7750 will not draw more than 50 W from ur psu(That will be while the GPU is fully stressed).

So power its not a problem.

Up there i linked a review about gigabyte.

Gigabyte has 3 year warranty so get that card then.
