New graphicsa card for bf3 worries

g'day all,how are you?
i will get straight to the point,i have a radeon hd6770, and can play bf3 multiplayer, but when the action gets big,the fps gets small..i have seen it peak out at 40 on ultra (with the antialiasing features disabled),but most the time its on anything from 27-35.so it can get real choppy at times..i have it now on 1680 by something with most the video settings on low or medium, recieving 40-45 fps.but the graphics detail looks poo!
what my question is...is what is the best 2 gig card (not worries if its either of gforce or radeon(i have also had a gtx 460,and was impressed with that card),so i am not biased.my budget is $300-$350 TOPS.
another question is...how do i know if it will be compatable with my motherboard, which is a gigabyte z68ma-d2h-b3.
and will i need another power supply,or will the current one do ok.
basically i want a cheap graphics rig that can play bf3 on 70+ fps.
any help would be awesome guys!

I've got a 670 that's overclocked and I pull about an average of 85 to 90 fps with vysnc off and everything cranked to ultra.

No no .Gigabyte has some problems with OC and fan's. So get Asus Dc II or Evga FTW.

Asus is better in cooling/noise but FTW its not behind.

Ftw can OC better as it has Gtx 680 PCB and cooling.

with 1 of this 2 u cant go wrong

The power supply unit doesn't have a sticker ? With the brand and current wattage plus detailed information.
The gigabyte 670 gtx is fine, no problems with oc or fans, and it is the most quiet.

ok i just ripped my tower open.it seems to be a thermaltake (i think that was the brand, its defenately thermal something) and its a 450 watt supply.

Thermaltake 450w rules out the 670, if this is the one : thermaltake 450w tr2 rx
If so go with a 7850 or 660 gtx.

Ok, buy a 550w-600w psu from a decent brand(antec, corsair, xfx, seasonic, ocz) with 80 plus and 2 pci-e connectors, it is really the right choice.
Then see if you still can get the 670 gtx or at least the 7950 3GB.

yeah i think i will go with your recommendation,i just watched the video on it,seems pretty good!
my only other concern,is if it will be compatable with my current motherboard, cos i dont wanna spend all this cash on an awesome card,to find out that i have to spend another 400$ on a motherboard.
that would be just heart breaking!!
