Hey everyone. My new build will be the following:

Mobo: ASUS M5A97
http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=76522&promoid=1209

CPU: AMD FX 4300
http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=76935&promoid=1209

RAM: G.SKILL Sniper SE 8GB
http://www.ncix.com/products/?sku=59977

The rest of the parts are still being decided on.

I'm not sure what video card to get... I'll be re-using my old monitor at 1336x768 (Max resolution, Only supports VGA)
I dont mind using a VGA monitor, It just means i'll need an adapter. What video card should I get from $100-$230 for gaming?
I was thinking about the GTX 570. Here are some benchmarks:

Personally i would match a 7850, or 7870 with your rig. If you were interested on keeping it all AMD that is. If you wanted to go with Nvidia, a gtx 660 is right in your price range. However, i would really lean towards a 7870 if you could, it doesn't have the memory and bandwidth problems the 660 does.

The 7850 is the best value right now for gpus. It would fit in well with your rig too. I just bought a MSI 570GTX and love it. I got mine for close to 200 bucks on sale at newegg. Its more expensive than a 7850, but its a great card for gaming (faster than a 7850) and CUDA speeds up my pro apps.
