First time PC build in Australia, info appreciated

Hi

I am looking to build my first PC. I have been looking around and I will be buying via pc case gear.

I would like to base my parts list using one of the existing packs that they do, if you think there is a better performing part for a better price please let me know.

I know nothing about overclocking etc, basically I am after a unit that can play games like skyrim etc at a high level

I have a budget of $1100 maximum.

CPU: Intel Core i5 3570K - $229
Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M Motherboard - $115
Graphics: ASUS GeForce GTX 660 DirectCU II 2GB OC - $259
Memory: Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 - $55
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB ST1000DM003 - $75
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224BB SATA DVDRW Drive - $19
Case: Sharkoon T28 Green Case USB 3.0 - $69
Power Supply: Corsair VS450 Builder Series ATX Power Supply - $55
Total - $876

Also, is it worth installing a SSD?

I appreciate any/all help in advance, thanks!

  1. Looks good but get an xfx 550w psu. Also, the xfx 7870 ghz is faster then that 660 and is cheaper. Since you play skyrim, definatly get a ssd, skyrim without ssd suck balls. Get an intel 330 series 180GB SSD as it is only $20 more than the 120GB one. I would get the full atx extreme4 if you case supports atx. You will need an aftermarket cooler if you plan to oc. I suggest the cooler master hyper 212 evo.
