Motherboard: AsRock Extreme6 or MSI GD65 (Microcenter MB/CPU deal)
Processore: i5 3570k (Microcenter MB/CPU deal)
CPU Cooler: Hyper 212 (was free)
Memory: 8-16GB at least 1600 with 9 Cas Latency
Graphics: XFX 7870 (acquired on sale - I don't see the reason to almost spend double for a 7970)
Optical: standard 24x
Power: OCZ ZX 850W Full Modular 80 Plus Gold (acquired on sale)
Case: Corsair 550D
Storage: two Samsung 840 Pro 256GB SSDs

Overclock: Yes, but not bleeding edge.

Use: gaming, work (MS Office), minor video and photo editing (not professional level or done more than a handful of times per month), web surfing, media center (just music at this time)

The motherboards give me two more 6 GB/s slots for storage. I can add an additional 256 GB SSD to expand it and a regular HDD if I ever use it for movies and need to really up the space. This means everything I currently have OS (Win 7), games, files, songs will all be on SSDs.

Any negatives or problems with this build?
