3 1/2 Floppy drives

I was wondering, does it really matter what 3 1/2 floppy drive i get for my computer? I mean, i'm not looking for a colorful or cool looking one, im just wondering if it matters data transfer wise. Also, im talking about the regular 1.38 mb floppy disks. Thanks.

  1. Hm... all I ever see are mostly Panasonics and NECs; I don't think it makes too much of a difference.

  3. Wow! I haven't used a floppy drive in 2 years now! Who needs floppy drives when you've got a CD burner? I use a CD-RW as a floppy drive.
