Audio driver successfully installed but there's no sound on my laptop

Recently I formatted my laptop and I install Windows xp sp3 operating system then after the installation including audio driver there is no sound in my laptop, i check the master volume and it seems all controls are ok and not muted.
I look for help over the web and a lot of advices but still it doesn't work.

Was that the OS that came with it? Did you get the driver from the manufacturer's website or off the CD that came with the laptop?
