Power adapter died

I woke up to the Christmas gift of my internet being down and I traced the problem to my router being dead with no lights on. I determined that the power adapter had died. Its output says 5v/2.5A.

I have a universal power adapter where I can set the voltage to either 3, 4.5, 6, 7.5, or 9. But I can't set it to 5V. Does that mean it wouldn't be safe to use on my router? Is my best/cheapest option to just try to get a replacement adapter on ebay?

I don't think your universal power adapter has enough AMPs either

4.5V setting would probably work if it has the correct Amperage (should be within the 5V tolerance level) but better off getting a new one in the long run since they can be found for less than $10 shipped.
