Is my build good enough?

Is my build good enough for high detail gaming? Do I need an i7? I am not planning anything like SLI or Crossfire?
I will be recording gameplay using fraps. I also have a 27 inch moniter if it helps.
The 120gb will be for OS.
The 256gb will be for fraps destination folder.
The 2tb will be for games and other things.

Is this good enough and can I save money in some places without loosing performence.

Thanks, this will be my first build. But I am not sure whether to go for HD7970 or the GTX 670.

They're both solid cards - take your pick. I'd go for the EVGA or Gigabyte 670, or the Sapphire 7970 Vapor X.

I'm still not sure what the second SSD is for but everything else looks solid.

I think i'll stick with the Sapphire HD7970.

The 120gb SSD is for my OS and the 256gb SSD is where the destination folder for fraps will be.
