Hello, I am going to get a PC that can be used as a media center, game server, etc, is this a good build?

My budget is around $500 for the PC and however much more for storage.
I will be running either Ubuntu Server or Ubuntu Desktop on the new PC.

Quad core intel/better performance/lower tdp
Also a mobo with 8 SATA ports(4 sata III, 4 sata II)
And a psu with 9 sata cables,etc.

Thanks, that looks good, I wasn't sure about AMD but someone suggested it.
