Small Business Server - Need Help picking

Forgive me if this isn't the right forum.
I need to choose a server for our small business (5-8 users).
I am looking at HP Proliant servers in the ML300 family but I am lost when picking the rest of the system. I used to be good ad building my own PCs but this is a bit over my head.

Is there anyone that would be willing to advise me?

Not sure if that is what you are looking for:
I just built a small NAS server for my business, 2 users, I used small micoITX case that fits 4 HDD, and used FreeNAS software (free), everything seems to be working good, it is mainly for storage purposes only, so 3 drives are mirroring and 1 more is extra, its called something like RaidZ + 1. There is a slight lag delay when saving / opening large files (over 100MB), in photoshop and such... but I think every server will have such delay.

That would be a great idea for a NAS in the future. For now I need it to run MS SQL Server.
