if you look under games the 650ti and 7770 cards (older non one ghz) were a few frames apart in most games.
the 650 non ti is 1/2 the card of the 650ti and is 40.00 less. if i was doing low cost build i go with the 7770 card. if i had some extra wiggle room i go with the nvidia card.

Is that a 1 or 2 gb?

You don't need anything bigger than 1gb on GTX 650 Ti and lower cards. They are not powerful enough to take advantage of more than 1 gb in most situations.
The 650 Ti is the best graphics card in your price range.
