Phenom II x4 840 Processor, 3.2 ghz
Radeon 7870 Twin Frozer 3
550w PSU (just ordered a 80+ silver 850 W)

It's your CPU, you need to overclock it.
  2. Is that actually why? Thats bottlenecking?

Yup, your cpu can't keep up.

You don't need more than 750w from a quality power supply unless you intend to run 2 gpu's.
  4. Well i have people telling me its my psu.....while others are saying its my processor others are saying my rig is fine ;c

if your psu 550w is from a decent brand then no its not the psu.
That cpu is worse than a intel pentium g850 so it could be it.
Or also the drivers from amd.
