Hey all,

Just got a free machine off my dads friend; opened it up last night and found:

Asus P5B Premium Motherboard

Intel Core 2 duo Quad Q6600

8 GB of Corsair DDR2 Memory

Power supply etc.

No graphics card though - I am looking to grab a 1GB graphics card for relatively cheap (60)

It's a PCI Express slot.

Looking to turn this machine into a gaming computer to play Skyrim etc.

Any ideas?

What size is the PSU? $60 is hardly enough for real gaming.

That doesn't matter. What is the resolution of your monitor or HDTV you are using?

I agree with boyabunda... here is that same card on the Canadian Newegg site if it makes a difference for you:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E1681...

It will be more than enough to game with near max settings and great frame rates at 1280x1024 and higher. I have a Gigabyte HD 6760 1GB I'm using in a new budget build. It can even game at 1920x1080 with reduced settings.
