I am looking to upgrade my cs5 production premium to cs6 PP HD video editing system, It currently runs slow.I do a lot of editing and AE work. I have a HP9400 workstation with 2tb (4x500) 3.5 internal storage and an 4tb external scsii raid. I also use a 4000 graphics card. I would like to upgrade my cpu, motherboard, ram, case, etc and use the same 1tb 3.5 C:drive.Basically I would like to switch the components to a faster box. The case should have (6) 3.5 drive bays to hold the internal drives. I have about $2000 and $2500 to spend. Suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

But i have a NVIDIA 4000 with cuda chipset installed in my current box. is that card obsolete? Also I forgot to include firewire capabilities. Is the Intel 520 Series Cherryville 240GB 2.5" Solid State Disk suppose to replace my c: drive. One of my devices is a dvd recorder. Does that effect the motherboard and case?

By Nvidia 4000 do you mean Quadro 4000? If so, no it is not obsolete. Would you rather have a consumer gpu designed for gaming but will work well or a quadro/firepro chip which will have loads of compute performance but crap gaming? Your Quadro 4000 is pretty sweet, but you can sell it for around $500 and you can buy this rig with a better quadro 5000

Ok! what is the difference between the
Intel Core i7-3970X Extreme Edition 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor and the Intel Core i7-3930K 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor. What is so extreme about it?
Does the motherboard have fire wire for ingesting video and does the case need extra fans to keep the quatro 4000 cool

Great- Just priced your config it comes to 1200 bucks. I dropped the graphics card and the storage. Is there any thing else I can beef it up with, I'm under budget for a change.
