Hi, I'm building a new PC and am getting an ASRock z77 Extreme4 and a Rosewill Blackhawk.
Sorry for the noob question, I'm new at building.

Now where I'm confused at is the Blackhawk has 5 pre-installed fans. The ASRock board when I read its specifications only has 3 x Chassis Fan connectors (1 x 4-pin, 2 x 3-pin). Does that mean I will only be able to utilize 3 out of the 5 fans from the casing?

Solution
Not at all, you could plug the other two chassis fans directly into your PSU IDE 4-pin connectors. No problem. If you really want to, get a fan controller.
some people use y fan cables to run two fans on one mb fan port. ie like two top fans if there the same size. the down side to that is if the fans pull to much power you can burn the port or the mb out. myself i have used fan controller and there nice. you can set your fans to a speed where you cant hear them but there cooling your case.
