A new build I've been working on, I'm a heavy gaming guy (FPS, MMORPG you name it)
I've tried to setup a fair build with a good cost, would like to get your opinions.
Opted for i5 over i7 since I understood that hyper-threading won't do me much good with gaming, also thought that starting with 8gb ram for now and expanding it as I go along.
I don't plan to do any OC but the choice of the CPU fan is due to my country's hot climate and area temperature (from past experiences the stock just wasn't enough).
1. If you want to save money, better drop the 3570, then go 3470. Better Price for almost similar performance. Not much of a performance jump from 3470 to 3570 with significant price jump so 3470 is a good choice. But it is up to you. Just my op.
2. I'll get a sapphire 7950 or find a 7950 boost (I think it is a bit expensive than regular 7950 but not much, si if you can save money from getting a 3470 cpu, you can alot that savings to here). I'm not saying that gigabyte is bad, It just tends to be louder because of the 3 fans. You can find even cooler cards with only 2 fans. Personally I have a HIS 7950 Iceqx2 boost and I love its temps. max temp I've reached is only 58C. Take note I'm also from a hot climate country. Or better yet get a 7970 if your budget allows.
3. with regards of the stock fan. I think you just had bad luck from that. Because I'm always using a stock cooler with my non-oc build and still have good temps. Even though the climate is hot. Are you playing under the sun?
