Can anyone help? I have just upgraded to a Hitachi 174SXW and also a new graphics card - MSI FX 5600. I initially connected both using a DVI cable and although no problams with the image, I occassionally get flashing red pixels on dark images. If I move the image the flashing also moves. I changed to the analogue cable (no noticible deterioation in image) and the problem seems to have disappeared. Anyone got any ideas?

Maybe the cable is bad, check it?

It may be the DVI output on the card as well. If a new cable doesn't fix the problem, I would try a new card.

I have the Hitachi monitor on an AIW 9700 pro and have had this combo for quite awhile. I first had the Hitachi on a Radeon 8500...and with both cards...DVI is stellar. I suggest that you go back to the store where you purchased the 5600 and exchange for another. It definately sounds like a faulty DVI port on the video card.
