Screen resolution too big for monitor.

I have a Dell inspiron mini 10v that has a resolution of 1280x600, but windows 7 does not allow me to change to that from 1024x768. I am running windows 7 and have fastboot disabled. I also have the 945 chipset drivers installed.

1024x768 is the minimum requirement for win7. Otherwise you wouldn't see the OK/Cancel buttons on some screens.

THat's not true, the minimum is 800x600. Windows 8 needs a minimum of 768 vertical, but not 7 or earlier.

It sounds to me like you don't have the right video driver installed.

check or up date your drivers that is a drivers issue.
