I have the following system:

AMD Phenom IIX4 965 BE
GA-MA790XT-UD4P (rev. 1.0) PCIe 2.0
4 GB RAM DDR3 OCZ GOLD - 1333
VisionTek 900241 Radeon HD 4850 512MB
1920 x 1080p screen (1 monitor only)
Ultra LSP750 750-Watt
HAF 932 case

I'm thinking upgradind my card.

I found this card.

Asus GeForce GTX 650 Ti

Thats better than both 6850 or 7850? Price , Performance...
My board is only Pcie2.0 any problem with 3.0?

CPU Stock speed no OC. what card is better no buttleneck?

Future upgrade board and CPU. mid last year maybe.

Games Skyrim, BF3, GW2, ME3...

Budget: $210 maybe few more or less.

A HD 7850/7870 is definately better, but expensive than 650 Ti. So, your card is nice for the price you'll pay.

    Here is a better option:

Or, this if you can extend your budget some more.

No, you won't have any problem with PCIE 3.0. And, there's not much performance increase with PCIe 3.0, in present day. So, you can upgrade to a PCIe Mobo later at your convenience.

And, ye the CPU is powerful enough to handle both 7870/7859.
  2. Only 1 fan on those card is good or need both. I live in Puerto Rico and the room temp is close 33 C.
  3. 33C in your room? That sounds awful. My cpu idles under 30C. Either a 1 or 2 fan card should be fine, but because of where you live I wouldn't be surprised if the card ran at 70C in game.
  4. Please go a little bit higher and get a 7850 or a 660. Last year I bought the 550ti thinking I would be able to max out most games but this year I see a good number of games that I can't max out so I'm now regretting not investing more and going for a 6850 at the time.

I don't want you to go through this so get the 7850.

What you say ur computer idle is more cold than my room .hahaha. I need to move and live inside your PC.

Really, Puerto Rico is very hot. Right now all parts inside my pc run.

    Room temp 31~33
    No condition air. Only fan.

    CPU: 53C
    Board: 45C
    Video 4850: Idle 54C full 60~68 C
    HD: 35~41 C

I think HAF 932 help a little with the temp.
  6. Get this if you want 2 coolers:

I must say HAF 932 Rocks...

OK, I only say if 2 coolers are better than 1 cooler in my case with the normal temp in my room or is the same 1 or 2 coolers not have much difference.
Good card with 1 cooler move out the high temp air out off the PC case and card.

Sorry for my English if something is not clear pls ask.
  8. It doesn't matter a lot. But, still, if you want to OC your card, get the 2 fan version, otherwise 1 fan will do fine (considering the cooling provided by Your great CM case).

I don't think I OC and I only use 1 card no Crossfire or SLI. The only thing that I'm worried is about temp because my room in normal situations are 31~33C. So when I play games and I play game for long hours, no like to burn the card.

But if 1 fan its ok, fine.
