im building a new budget gaming pc and i dont know which card to choose both are from sapphire im playing on 19 inch 1440x900 or a 32inch 1366x768
iam worried that 1gb wont be enough for games like the upcoming gta v

Agreed. More Ram is always better, When it comes to video cards especially. The new norm will soon be at least 2 GB. When i jumped from 1-2 GB i didn't notice a huge boost in FPS, but i noticed i could handle more additional features, ie: AA and maxed every detail

It allows more room to keep the card longer without the need to purchase a newer one.

3 GB would be overkill
2 is currently the sweet spot from a 6950 or higher.

The one to see go on sale is the 7950, That would be just excellent... If it dropped to 250 one day i would have no issue getting it.

Expect the 8870 to be awesome as well.

Those resolutions wont really require 2Gb, but there is no reason to not get it for the future proofing aspect.
