Go for the HD7870 it is faster and can be overclocked massively but as a side note at that resolution you don't need to invest too much money on a GPU. A 7850 can easily max out all games at 1280x1024.

Well, since I was going to get assassins creed 3 anyway, wouldn't that be a better deal?
