I've been able to get through a cuple games of CS:GO no problem, however COH and BF3 have both given me this issue aswill as once with EVGA OC scanner.

System Specs

Thermaltake 750W tr2 rx (3 years old, awful reviews, could this be it?

Z77 U3DH Gigabyte ( New Part *)

3570k Stock with 212 + ( Was OC but still rebooting when on stock , NEW PART *)

8 GB DDR (NEW PART*)

680 GTX ( Trying it on stock clocks now as I type)

All Temps are good, CPU stays under 55c GPU under 60 c

What could be causing the problem? I can play for anywhere from 1-15 minutes
Prime95 runs fine as does OC scanner 99 % of the time ( Ran 14 benchmarks, rebooted only the 2nd time, all with ranging with different clocks ) My 680 GTX old OC profile worked fine with my old CPU + Mobo + Ram( X58m + i7 930 +6gb DDR3 )

I doubt its the ram since prime95 runs fine. under event log i get event 41 which seems to mean windows was shut off improperly.

Try this it may sound stupid but it has worked for me and many others before.Run a full scan http://www.majorgeeks.com/Malwarebytes_Anti-Malware_d5756.html remove whatever it finds.Turn off windows upate
Uninstall the drivers.
Download driver fusion http://treexy.com/
Reboot system in safe mode and run driver fusion.
Reboot again.
Re-downloaded lastest drivers http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
Turn on windows updates This would be a good time to consider installing Simple Perfomance Boost to optimize your Windows settings. It’s easy, safe and fast. Here is a video on doing this optional step: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LyJoGOYXfHs if it does not fix it i think it's your power supply

Alright will try in the morning. played bf3 for 30 minutes on stock clocks (cpu & gpu) .really starting to think its the psu. There is a review with the same symptoms. Ill try running games with an oc cpu and stock gpu but that still won't narrow it down since the oc gpu uses more powere then an oc cpu.

Here's the layout

OC GPU+ OC CPU = CRASH

OC GPU + STOCK CPU = CRASH

STOCK GPU + STOCK CPU = STABLE

STOCK GPU + STOCK CPU = TBD

Since less demanding games like hotline miami and csgo vsynced work you think my compenets ( aside from psu ) are okay?

alright tried what you said, didnt work, decided to order the Antec Earthwatts EA550 Platinum. Its not that high of Watt but its more then enough for me and since its rated so high I should be ok right? I'm 99% surei ts the PSU now since the GPU was fine before new additions, and it works fine stock. So the only thing change are the gpus clocks and the power it draws.
