Help Connecting Cable Modem, Firewall Router, and Wireless Router

Forum Networking : General Discussion Help Connecting Cable Modem, Firewall Router, and Wireless Router

Hello.

I'm needing some help connecting my cable modem, firewall router, and wireless router so that I can get on the Internet via a wireless device.

I have my cable modem connected into the Internet port on my Linksys Firewall Router (wired router). I have the Linksys Firewall Router setup for DHCP, and, if I connect my PC to any one of the Ethernet ports using a cable, I can get on the Internet no problem.

Then I try connecting my wireless router. I connect an Ethernet cable from one of the Ethernet ports on the back of the firewall router to the WAN port on the back of the wireless router (DHCP is disabled). I can connected wirelessly to the router but cannot get on the Internet from a device connected wirelessly to the wireless router.

I'm sure it's some combination of DHCP, IP addresses, connection settings, etc. on both the firewall and wireless routers, but I'm a noob to this sort of stuff, so I don't know exactly what settings to set and how to make this situation work.

Any ideas?

Thanks!
