specs: Asus P8Z77-V LX
Intel Core i7-3770K CPU @ 3.50 GHz
16 GB RAM
Windows 7 64 bit Professional
Nvidia Quadro 600

I want to upgrade my graphic card, budget of $ 1000, I primarily use this for Blender. I could get a Quadro 4000 but rendering benchmarks I have seen the 4000 is not really fast. I have not been able to find much if a GTX 690 would work in Blender 2.64?

Actually it works. But It wont be twice as fast compared to GTX580 because Nvidia has downgraded Geforce Kepler cards to be bad for computing especially DoublePrecision. Maybe to force business to but Ridiculous expensive Quadro or Testla cards rather that using afforcable Geforce cards as seen on Fermi Cards
